Becoming a cosplayer changed my life. I’ve been properly cosplaying since 2022, but I started dressing up and pretending to be different characters when I was in middle school. Cosplaying is an escape for me and my real life problems because it allows me to be anyone but myself for even just a day.
It is another platform where I could use my acting skills to bring the characters I cosplay to life. It was also a way for me to learn new skills such as sewing, wig-making, makeup, prop-making, and so much more. I may not be the best and most professional cosplayer out there, but I want to share my experiences and process on how I make my own cosplays because I know that will help a lot of newer cosplayers who want to get into cosplay.
